Brooks Flory

4TH Grade newton Elementary
Brooks was really happy and excited to be named a Dragons MVP! His teacher compared Brooks to Joey Votto, first baseman for the Cincinnati Reds.
“Brooks is an MVP with an eye on the record books. Over the course of the year Brooks has read (as tracked by our STAR reading program) 2,541,000 words and counting! He has read more words this year than any 4th grader I've taught in the past 11 years! Brooks is also a straight A student and fantastic young man!”
The Dragons MVP Program uses the marketing power of Dayton Dragons Baseball as an educational tool for 4th and 5th grade teachers, helping them incent and reward students for success both in and out of the classroom. The use and distribution of the awards is entirely up to each teacher. Teachers use the program to reward behavior improvements, community involvement, good grades, spelling bee winners, and more.
